Brian Olley, British High Commissioner to Cameroon

Brian joined the FCO in 2002 and was Deputy High Commissioner in Cyprus until August 2013. His FCO career has covered a wide range of roles including working in Afghanistan and Finland. Brian started his career in Her Majesty’s Forces where he served in New York (on secondment to the United Nations), Hong Kong, Nepal, Germany, Canada and the UK.
George Hodgson, British Ambassador to Senegal

George Hodgson has been British Ambassador to Senegal and non-resident Ambassador to Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau since July 2015. George Hodgson joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2002. He has previously served in Washington, Kabul, Islamabad, Brussels and London.
Jon Benjamin, British High Commissioner to Ghana

Jon Benjamin has been British High Commissioner to Ghana since 2014. His last post before coming to Ghana was in Chile. Jon joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1986. He has previously served in New York (2005-2008), Washington (2005), Ankara (1996-1999) and Jakarta (1988-1991). He has also held several positions in the FCO.
David Belgrove, British Ambassador to Liberia

David Belgrove OBE was appointed Ambassador to Liberia in April 2015. David joined the FCO in 1982 and has served in the Czech Republic, Kuwait, India, Canada, Afghanistan and Liberia. Most recently he has been Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General at the British Embassy in Khartoum. He was awarded an OBE in 2010 for his work in Afghanistan.
Guy Warrington, British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone

Guy took up his appointment as High Commissioner to Sierra Leone in 2016. Prior to taking on this role he was Director for the English Regions at the Department for International Trade. From 2008-2012 Guy served as Her Majesty’s Consul General in Dubai.
